Navigating your way in this world and the systems of connections can be confusing and isolating.

We want you to get the care you deserve!

Are you looking for a therapist that integrates your identity with what you’re facing?

I’m Simran Manhas, I’m a licensed mental health practitioner in Washington. I’m a warm, spiritual, natural rights advocate, therapist, and clinical supervisor. I specialize in relational and trauma-focused therapy with people who have experienced emotional neglect, systemic oppression, or unjust biases and are now wanting to reconnect with themselves and their innate qualities, engage in positive relationships, while gaining success on their own terms with life, work, relationships, and all things in between.

At Manhas Counseling Collective, you will discover a provider who is person-centered and applies trauma-informed effective approaches to support you in shedding what no longer serves with an outcome you are hoping for.

During our time together, we will begin to identify the barriers and what difficulty you are facing, whether it be influences within your life, systems of beliefs or connections (families, relationships, work – past or present) have failed you and how you feel you are at a deficit. We will take time to learn about your worldview and collaborate with you in creating an effective treatment plan and pacing that fits your goals and needs. Together, we will progress you in how to positively re-learn who you are and by doing so you can find purpose, shift those negative patterns to ones that are more aligned to the present ‘you’, so you can thrive!

Engaging in therapy takes courage and can be challenging on knowing ‘how to’ begin. Within a safe space, we provide guidance in identifying how our emotions, thoughts, and beliefs are interconnected.

The therapist/client relationship is honored where the connection is human first, then a close understanding of seeing where your growth can emerge. Thank you for allowing us to join you on your journey!

Meet Simran

My experience as a cis-gender, first generation US-born South Asian female and trauma survivor guides my work towards compassion, human connection, integrity, renewed purpose, and joy. I draw from learnings along my own healing journey and the Shamanic school of spirituality to support the natural rights and wellness for all.

I’m a licensed mental health counselor (LH 61334678), providing therapy services and board-approved clinical supervision in the state of Washington. I have been in the mental health field since 2015 and graduated in 2018 with my MS in Marriage & Family Counseling from Walden University. Other than private practice, I have had experience working in both inpatient and outpatient settings, community mental health agencies, schools, and hospitals as a clinical provider and in management. As some may believe, this is not my first career path! I used to work in philanthropy and the tech industry and soon realized that supporting and serving others in their own growth was rewarding and an honor.

Since 2018, I have helped hundreds of individuals and couples heal from the impacts of trauma, anxiety, stress, and depression. My training in school and within the field supports me in tailoring clinical approaches with the work that we do together. My approaches are evidence-based and include but is not limited to:

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Attachment Based Therapy

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD

  • Couple & Family systems approaches as needed

  • Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT)

  • Inner Family Systems (IFS)

  • Narrative Therapy

  • Relational psychotherapy

When I am not working , I enjoy traveling, trying new spots for dining or my hand at cooking a new cuisine, being active outside or in the gym, looking for new titles to watch TV shows or movies, spending time with my nephews and family, and being with my partner and our two cats.
